Free shutter counter mac7/14/2023 ![]() However, the shutter count information is currently working for Canon DIGIC III/IV DSLRs (except 1D models). Without any learning curve required, users can just install and launch the utility (with your DSLR connected to PC) and it will display the shutter count instantly. To use either of these programs, simply connect the camera to your computer using a cable and run the program. A company called AstroJargon has created two pieces of software for this very reason: Windows users will utilize EOSInfo and Mac users can rely on 40D Shutter Count. The first is downloading a freeware program that will pull this information for you. However, there are several ways to easily get the shutter count for your photo-taking machine. Not all DSLR models make it easy for the user to view the shutter count instead, most models do not even record how frequently the shutter as clicked. Plugin your Canon 7D, and you should be good to go. Install the software application on your computer. How to Check Shutter Count on Canon 7D – general information. Besides this, you could even download the EOSInfo software on Windows computers or 40D Shutter Count software for Mac users to view the shutter count. You install the software, plug your camera into your computer, and discover tons of information on the spot. Getting Canon Shutter Count Using EOSInfo Windows users may want to consider EOSInfo to check the shutter count on their camera. Canon Shutter Count Check Software By creserteali1988 Follow | Public Hurtworld v2 raid ragew7/14/2023 ![]() Being able to come back and see the shell of your remaining base, or the new owners enjoying it should create a much richer narrative for everyone in the server.Īnother mechanic I will be experimenting with internally will be the ability to reinforce specific parts of your base that show no visible signs from the outside, allowing defenders to strategically choose the parts of the base they think raiders will exploit to get inside and by nature also leave other parts vulnerable. Raiding a base and being able to make it vanish in seconds isn’t a great mechanic and often makes it hard to see what happened to your hard earned fortress. This will also create a much higher permanence to bases. This would add a massive amount of inconvenience cost to using walls instead of doors to build yourself into a vault as when you login next you have to wait the removal time for each layer of wall you build yourself behind. ![]() This renovation drill could be cheap and quick to deploy, but take a good amount of time (say 30 mins) to actually complete its task of removing a build component. The main cost we want to add to this device is time. We create a new type of wall removal device (like c4 or raid drill) that can only be used inside your own base for a tiny fraction of the cost. This obviously isn’t feasible, but this leads us to a clue as to how to solve it. Locking walls in place after the grace period makes renovating your base a very expensive exercise, you would need to c4 your own base just to remove a few walls or doors. Blowing through a weak door or a strong wall will be a key decision in raiding a base. At this point doors and walls being significantly different in use, doors will likely become the weak points as a trade off for providing more accessibility. This will force good placement of doors, misdirection of pathways through fake doors, and maze structures to be key to building a secure base. The current prototype design is that construction pieces can only be removed during the grace period soon after they are placed to correct mistakes (say 5 mins). This has always been a hard thing to achieve while players are able to build themselves or their totems in with stacked walls and is definitely not how the systems were designed to be used.įor as long as players have the freedom to build and remove any wall as they please, doors become only useful for airlocks, the 50% cost of building and removing a wall isn’t nearly enough to compare to the security gains you achieve by building yourself in. Once I have the bugs under control the focus for the next content patch will revolve around making end game raid mechanics more balanced and interesting. I will hopefully have these issues sorted in a patch to go out before the wipe this Thursday, I don’t expect this to include a forced wipe. Kimbo slice back yard fight7/13/2023 ![]() When you get to know the person, like I said, he’s nothing but a nice, humble, articulate guy. So, what you see when you’re dealing with Kimbo isn’t the person. The persona you see - the guy in the backyard beating people up - you assume a guy like that would be loud and obnoxious, and he’s not like that at all. His personality is just not what you’d expect. And he really surprised everybody who had never met him before. And then, through that, of course you meet him at fighters’ meetings, you sit down and interview the guy to get to know him a little bit, and that was my first real interaction with him. I may have met him or something, but I never actually had a conversation with him, never sat down with him until he came over to Bellator. Smith: Yeah, I had never really dealt with him before that. What was your first personal interaction with him? Was it when he came over to Bellator? So that was the first thing that occurred to me when I first got confirmation of it. Of what a nice guy he was and what a shame it is that he went that young. He’s really humble, a gentleman, very polite and articulate to everyone at Bellator, so the only thing that struck me was the human element of it. I was able to meet him and interview him and deal with him while he was signed with Bellator, and the first thing that really kind of struck me about the guy was, he’s a really nice guy. That was the first thing that occurred to me, is we all know Kimbo Slice the character - what we see on TV. What were your immediate thoughts when you heard of the Kimbo passing? The tragic news affected so many, including Bellator MMA color commentator Jimmy Smith, who I had the opportunity to talk with regarding a number of topics, including Kimbo’s sudden passing, his impact on combat sports and, most importantly, the type of person Kimbo Slice truly was. Everywhere he went, people watched and were entertained. He achieved even more with his transition into MMA. Slice had achieved an enormous amount of fame through backyard fights that became viral sensations. On June 6, the combat-sports world was left in shock as one of its most popular figures, Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson, passed away at the age of 42. Keyboard maestro osx injustice 27/13/2023 ![]() (Older Mac users will remember QuicKeys was the premier macro application choice from the late 1980s through the 2000s Keyboard Maestro took up its mantle under OS X and has persisted to the present. While not always classed as programming, macros are not very far off, either. The key elements for a good macro system are that it’s easy to create and modify macros, that they execute consistently, and that they require only understanding the notion that things occur in order–no coding experience is required. Keyboard Maestro lets you create macros, a computer-science term dating from the late 1950s, which covers a series of grouped actions performed in sequence. Its latest update, version 10, shipped in November 2021 with dozens of new features large and small. Keyboard Maestro has occupied a big swath of that niche since 2002. Yet the insistence of operating systems and apps on making us carry out mind- and finger-numbing jobs has given rise to a varied category of utilities that automate operations. Keyboard Maestro is a less complicated tool that provides the bulk of QuicKeys’ features.Price comparison from over 24,000 stores worldwideĬomputers should perform repetitive actions on our behalf, freeing us for higher-level work. But with QuicKeys’ power comes complexity. However, it's a GUI based automater, it doesn't have the programming features that Autohotkey has. Overview of Keyboard Maestro 10 for macOS. Zoom us download mac, 2 2 2 4 copper ser service entrance cable, Famous dance. If you routinely work with the same Web forms and want to automate the process, QuicKeys provides a solution that Keyboard Maestro doesn’t. Ex: F1 in evernote makes text bold, F2 makes text bigger, F3 selects the whole line: BetterTouchTools was free until very recently. QuicKeys does, and QuicKeys includes Web actions-a way to identify and interact with elements you find on Web pages. For example, Keyboard Maestro doesn’t provide a way to add a decision to a macro- if A happens, do B if C happens, do D. However, the program lacks some of the power of QuicKeys. There’s even an action for applying a BBEdit Text Factory to your files. You can also use actions that display a message using Growl. Enter your search term, press Return, and your browser launches and displays the results of your search. Keyboard Maestro also provides an action that plops a Google search field in the middle of your Mac’s display. I think the URL remains the simplest trigger to add and maintain, but the AppleScript option will probably give you more control options in your action if you are doing things like. You can execute AppleScripts, Automator workflows, other macros, and shell scripts. That also worked fine for me, including when I disabled the automation option for Drafts to control Keyboard Maestro the URL sits outside that automation space. And you can download a free Maestro iPhone app that lets you trigger macros on your Mac from your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. Keyboard Maestro also lets you trigger macros from a floating palette or a menu. This feature lets you type an abbreviation to insert a chunk of boilerplate text. Like QuicKeys, Keyboard Maestro includes a text expansion feature similar to SmileOnMyMac’s Click it and the macro you’ve recorded runs. You’ll also find a Try button next to the Record button. It provides a good starting point, but you’ll likely have to edit your work-substituting menu commands for clicks, for example. Even with that slight limitation, it is still far faster than having to move your mouse to each monitor and use the built in CTRL+Left/Right arrow keystrokes. This is a useful feature for recording a complex series of actions, but it records everything you do-including errant clicks. It’s best to press the activation keystroke (CTRL+F12 in my case), let go of the keyboard until all the spaces have changed, then press it again. Click this button and you can record your Mac’s action. When you click the Edit button in the third column-which is the first step in creating a new macro of your own-a Record button appears at the bottom of the window. Toggl vs timecamp7/13/2023 ![]()
Labor turnover statistics7/13/2023 ![]() However, an increasing concern is that many employees also have not returned to their role in the restaurant industry, as we have emerged from this difficult time. ![]() These factors may have been out of your control, which can provide you with some solace. If it was happening to your business, you already know that factors such as the financial support that your business and the government was able to provide during this time likely played a role in your employee's decision and ability to stay in the industry. Following the shutdowns and unpredictability during the early days of the pandemic, many employees began seeking careers elsewhere as a survival strategy. ![]() If you have struggled with pandemic related turnover, know that it’s not just your restaurant. Pandemic turnover has been a widespread phenomenon in the restaurant industry. Many of those employees are students who only work during summers off from school, which helps soften the blow of such a huge loss of jobs. During an average summer, restaurant employment increases by about 400,000 employees across the U.S., meaning that 400,000 employees theoretically turned over at the end of the high season. More people eat out in the summer, when they can hit a patio, than in the winter, when the weather drives them to cozy up at home. Then, there’s the inherent seasonality of the restaurant industry. They’re also likely to be students who usually only work seasonally or with limited hours as their academic schedules allow. That means that the majority of individuals entering this industry have little-to-no work experience. Adolescents account for 1.7 million restaurant workers-in fact, restaurants employ about one-third of all working teens. Why is turnover in the restaurant industry so high? A major part of why restaurants will always have higher turnover than other private sector industries is the composition of their workforces. Take a deep breath, because the truth isn’t quite as concerning as the raw data. And ultimately, the fact that 46.5 percent turnover from employees who quit should be even more alarming. To determine your turnover rate, divide the number of employees who have left your restaurant by the average number of employees it takes to fully staff your restaurant, and then multiply the resulting number by 100 to get a percentage.Ĭontemporarily, turnover rate for full-service as well as limited-service restaurants is much higher than these pre-pandemic averages - with turnover reaching 106% and 144%.Ī 66.3 percent overall turnover rate - much less this massive uptick - would be alarming to any restaurant owner. How high is your restaurant's turnover rate?īefore planning out how you can reduce your turnover rate, it’s probably helpful to calculate what it actually is. No restaurant will ever eliminate employee turnover, but with the right steps, you can cut your own rate down. Once you understand the driving forces behind turnover in the industry, you can make changes to prevent and reduce your own staff churn. The key to curbing turnover at your establishment is knowing what causes all the churn in the restaurant industry. So why do so many employees leave their restaurant jobs? Where are they going instead? And more importantly, how can you lower your own turnover rate, retain your employees and save money that you might otherwise have spent on things like renovations or marketing. This is more than 1.5x compared to all private sector workers (where turnover is around 46%). The restaurant industry has an astronomical amount of turnover, with data showing an average churn of around 75% - a percentage that has been rising following the pandemic. If you’ve spent any time in the restaurant industry you know the staff room has a bit of a revolving door.Īmong the many metrics that restaurants should keep an eye on, perhaps one of the most pertinent (and prophetic) is employee turnover. Lockit pm monogram7/13/2023 ![]() ![]() The LV monogram would soon appear on everything from bags and various fashion accessories to alligator-skin champagne cases, from stylish apparel and earrings to teddy bears and airplane models. It’s one of the earliest examples of fashion branding. The famous LV monogram was first used in 1896 as part of an initiative by Georges to prevent counterfeiting of his coveted new line of travel trunks. It’s only appropriate that it boasts one of the most recognizable insignias - the imaginative interlocking of letters and fleurettes - in the fashion world. The Louis Vuitton brand embodies all the attributes of luxury, from the craftsmanship, exclusivity and relevance to heritage. The largest travel-goods store in the world at the time, it became the company’s flagship. In 1914, a Louis Vuitton store opened at 70 Champs-Élysées. When Louis Vuitton died in 1892, control of the luxury house was passed onto his only son, Georges Vuitton. Travel’s popularity broadened in the late 19th century, and Vuitton’s trunks could easily be packed into train cars and ships - upright trunks meant hanging wardrobe storage that would allow his clients to transport their sophisticated garments without worry. In 1858, Vuitton debuted his lightweight, handcrafted canvas trunks, which were sturdy, rugged and equipped with convenient compartments. The most common trunks of the era were round, which weren’t ideal for toting and storing. Long before his brand would become known globally for its exemplary top-handle bags and stylish totes, Vuitton produced stackable and rectangular trunks. The craftsman opened a humble workshop on rue Neuve des Capucines and advertised his services with a small poster that read: “Securely packs the most fragile objects. In 1854, Vuitton launched his namesake company. He toiled as a box maker and packer for more than a decade and built relationships with royals and members of the upper class while working for the empress of France, Eugenie de Montijo. When he arrived in Paris, Vuitton made a living with his hands. With stops along the way to make money so that he could forge ahead, the journey took a couple of years, but reward was close at hand. The young Vuitton was 13 at the time and would need to travel on foot to get to the capital, which was hundreds of miles away. The company’s modest origins can be traced back to when its founder, Louis Vuitton (1821–92), wishing to free himself from the conventional lifestyle in his provincial French city of Anchay as well as a difficult stepmother, left in the early 1830s to make a new life in Paris. The story behind iconic luxury brand Louis Vuitton - best known for its esteemed handbags, crossbody bags, leather goods, ready-to-wear clothing and more - is one of craft and innovation in the worlds of fashion, jewelry and furniture. |
